TMJ
DISORDER
STMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorders represent a complex series of symptoms frequently involving the bony structure of the condyle of the mandible (lower jaw), portions of the temporal bone of the skull and attached ligaments. When this joint functions abnormally, it can result in chronic and acute jaw joint pain, limitation of opening, facial deformity, and interference with mastication (chewing) and swallowing. Popping and clicking of the jaw joint are frequent early signs of this disorder.
